Microsoft project updating tasks

If Task is finished 100% then Remaining work is 0 hrs. If you save the Baseline before you put any Actuals, you can get Efficiency if you compare Actual work with Baseline Work field.

I have a task that I want to update and adjust the work completed percentage.

For Project Server 2013 we’ve been using the SOAP API’s Queue Update Project Request to achieve this but in 2016 we can’t even checkout the project using SOAP.

No matter what I do, try and change percent completed, set actual finish date or change duration completed, the task always reverts to a random value when I close the update box. When I use "Update Tasks" and I enter the "Actual" Start date and time the "Original" Start date and time changes to the "Actual" start date and time I just updated.

When I select the task and click on update I get the update box ok, but when I change percent completed to 100% and then close the box, the value is auto adjusted to a random value% If I then reopne the box and try again, I get a different auto adjusted value : 77%. Project Libre is great and I'm only having one issue.

Once I've set up my baseline, I like to use the Tracking view to see schedule slippage (ie: is a project going to be "late"? The problem occurs when I'm updating the % Complete, but a task that was supposed to be complete (or in progress) has not been started yet, so I leave it at 0% Complete.

I will use Task Usage View, and click on John under the Task: And I will get: So, as you can see , so in this Case it will be 40/32 * 100 = 125%, etc.

To conclude when you change Actual work field, Work field is also changed.

Well, this is not possible, but there is a solution in which you can see that team is more efficient than expected.

I will create Simple Project, with one Task 5 days Duration, and I will put 40 hours in work field: Now I am going to create in the picture above.
